For many reasons, you may need different phone numbers to keep your different lives separate, be it long term or temporarily – even for as short as a day. For the long term, you may wish to have a separate mobile number for your family, another one for your work, and even one for acquaintances.

On the other hand, there may be occasions where you need to keep in touch with others temporarily but are hesitant to give out your main number, for example:
• You are flat hunting or trading your car but do not want to give your main number to someone you hardly know;
• You do not want to give out your main number at parties to someone you have just met;
• You want to post a number for online trade, but do not want to use your main number;
• You have started a side business that you want to keep apart from your main business;
• Many more situations apply…

With Add-on Numbers, you can add up to 4 local mobile/fixed-line numbers on the same phone and delete those numbers whenever you want. Simply choose new mobile numbers directly from the app to enjoy the service right away, or use your existing mobile/fixed-line numbers. Each add-on number comes with its own:
• Phone dialler
• Calling identity
• Message folders
• Phonebook
• Voicemail

This service is available to users of Hong Kong mobile operators: China Mobile, csl., SUN Mobile, 1010, 3 – not only for SmarTone customers.

Each add-on number only costs $5 per day, capped at HK$35 per 30 days.

Remarks:
• Each add-on number is charged at $5 a day on a recurring basis and capped at $35 per 30 days. A day is defined as 00:00-23:59, Hong Kong time.
• To use an existing mobile/fixed-line number as an add-on number, please come to SmarTone stores for registration.
• For SmarTone customers: usage of voice, data, messaging, IDD and roaming will be deducted from the main number’s service plan and any additional usage incurred will be charged to the monthly bill accordingly. Calls made by the mobile numbers under this service will incur voice usage and be counted as voice minutes, while calls made by fixed-line numbers under this service require data connection and usage will incur data charges.
• For non-SmarTone customers: a $48 advance payment is required from which service and additional fees will be deducted as applicable. The use of IDD will require registration at SmarTone stores and will be charged accordingly. Voice calls (including the calls made by mobile numbers and fixed-line numbers) and messaging will be delivered by data and usage will incur data charges with the customer’s network provider.
• The fixed-line numbers under this service do not support MMS.
• Data connectivity is required for the service. When using the service which requires data connection, service performance may be affected by the network performance of the customer's network provider.
• This service is available for smartphones running iOS 8.0 or above.
