WHOIS is an internet utility that searches Internet databases to find out who owns a domain, IP address, or other Internet resource.

Dyn Whois provides the following functionality:

The ability to look up domains across TLDs
The ability to deep dive into a redirection and query the next server listed
The ability to specify the whois server to use for the lookup (otherwise it will use the default resolver for the device)
The ability to query for unknown TLDs (unknown at the time of the package release) and retain for quicker future lookup.
The elapsed time (in milliseconds) that the lookup took
The number of bytes a query took.
A history list of the last 8 domains looked up
A history list of the last 8 whois servers used
An info page with links back to Dyn, and Dyn's social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
